Placing yourself in the hands of experienced and professional masseuses, is the ideal way to wash away your stresses and tensions, by the time you leave the Hamam, the world will seem a better place and, for sure, you will be looking to visit again.
At a fraction of the cost of a European Spa day you would be crazy to miss this wonderful experience. The Hamam in Cappadocia, is built into the cave, but don’t be fooled by this, the Hamam has all modern amenities of a traditional Hamam anywhere, at your service. Once you have decided what time you would like to go along and booked your ticket accordingly, you can safely enjoy a full on pamper session at the hands of trained masseuses in a venue so authentic you may think you have stepped back in time.

When you arrive at the Hamam you will be greeted by friendly reception staff, who will provide you with a locker key and a hamam robe before directing you to the changing room area. Once you have changed and put your valuables into the locker you can go into the Sauna or Steam Room. This process is meant to open your pores and allow the toxins to surface. This process usually takes around 15 minutes and allows your relaxation to begin. From there you will be guided to the main Hamam.
Here you will find a large marble room with a belly stone at its centre. If you are awaiting your turn you may sit on the surrounding marble seats and cool yourself with the water from the surrounding basins. When it is your turn the masseuse will call you to the stone and begin a salt scrub of your body. This cleanses and invigorates the skin, washing away the toxins that surfaced during the sauna.
The final part of this section is then the foam massage, whereby the masseuse uses what appears to be a large pillowcase and using a bar of soap, seems to conjure the foam from nowhere. Then as the foam is massaged into your body, you will understand why you chose the Hamam experience. Once the foam is rinsed away your Hamam is complete. Unless, of course, it has left you wanting more.
In this case, you may choose to take an aromatic oil massage. This usually lasts around 30 minutes and is the perfect way to end your Turkish Bath in Cappadocia.
